Jaqwan “Wonkachild” Sirls (wonkachild.com), is undeniably one of the most energy-packed and rising entertainers in music today and is set to perform live with his hometown crew – Atilla The Beatsmith, Nez, Dae Ahzae, & Dutch Newman at Kansas City’s Record Bar, Wednesday evening October 14^th.

Wonkachild’s recent benefit performance in coordination with Vh1’s SaveThe Music Foundation in Lincoln, Nebraska indubitably wowed audience members. “Break dancing on dinner tables?! I have never witnessed a performance with so much energy and excitement,” a representative from [Scion] one of the event’s sponsors expressed. Sirls long-time friend and manager, Elliott Thomas responded with a chuckle, “You honestly haven’t seen anything yet… There are a few plaguing issues – he’s battling the flu, its 40 degrees out here and drizzling, and there isn’t even enough room on stage for him to really display his dance repertoire.” Trust the word on the streets – you really won’t know what he’ll think of or do next… but believe it, it’s always beyond entertaining!

Following a line-up of local shows, the Funkmaster gets familiar with the “Land of Lincoln” as he prepares for a loaded November schedule in the state of Illinois as a special guest performer at Chicago’s annual “Remix the Runway” Fall fashion fix presented by Power 92FM alongside platinum hip-hop artist Fabolous; 2-time Grammy nominated R&B artist Amerie and Def Jam recording artist Jeremih.

The Funktastic Funkateer that he is, WONKACHILD successfully fuses the inspirational spunk of soul, funk of hip-hop, soul of R&B, with elements of fantasy to create a delicious sound that might have been cooked together had James Brown collaborated with Andre 3000 today.
